Self Portrait one late night at the studio.

This image was created with 4 shots and then combined and stitched together in photoshop.
First, we had to set the lights, and the angle, anchor down the camera and fill the room with haze.
Then we shot each popcorn separately, the hand and myself sitting watching the movie. After cleaning up, I dived into photoshop to stitch everything together to create the final image.

This was shot during Lockdown 2020.
Portraying the feeling of being alone, lost, not knowing what’s going on, nor how it will unfold.

My grandfather, every time I visited him and walked through his door, he would quote Dante Alighieri’s “Inferno” Poem: “Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate” (Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.)

This work is inspired by that Poem.
